Record Growth in Membership in 2017

Our North Central chapter continues to grow, and we're not just talking plants!  In 2017, under the leadership of Membership Chairperson, Patti Maness, the chapter had a record year in the number of new members at 117!  Wow, that is a lot of new faces!  When you come to a meeting in 2018, take a few minutes to say 'Hi' to an unfamiliar face and introduce yourself and help all these newcomers feel like they are part of our group.  Also, to help us all get to know one another, we have started an online photo directory that may be seen only when viewing the password protected Members page.  (Check your welcome email for the password or send an email to Patti Maness to get a reminder.)  Please email a photo (selfie or taken by someone else) to Theresa Thomas and she will get them added to the website.

As of now, the North Central Chapter is the second largest chapter in the state.  Thank you to all the local members who support the organization through membership, volunteerism and demonstrating the use of local native plants in your yards, school grounds, businesses, and ranches / native prairie grasslands.  Through each of your efforts, we are working to achieve Texas communities valuing native plants, native plant habitats and healthy ecosystems as essential to the well being of living things and to our life.  Please continue to share your native plant knowledge and experiences with friends, associates and community members!  Let's keep growing in 2018 😀
